Working with Funders
Bayside Home Care is a private pay company. However, we understand that navigating funding can be complex, and we are happy to work alongside families and local services to help make care as accessible as possible. Below are some of the funding programs and organizations we can work with.
Ontario Health atHome
Ontario Health atHome (formerly CCAC) coordinates publicly funded personal support and homemaking services for eligible individuals. While Bayside Home Care operates independently as a private agency, we are happy to work alongside Ontario Health atHome case managers to complement funded care with additional private support — ensuring there are no gaps in your loved one's day.
Visit Website →Developmental Services Ontario (DSO)
DSO is the entry point for adults with developmental disabilities seeking government-funded services and supports in Ontario. If your family member is on a DSO waitlist or has an active support plan, our team can work in parallel to provide consistent, individualized care while you navigate the publicly funded system.
Visit Website →Special Services at Home (SSAH)
The SSAH program provides funding to families of children and adults with physical or developmental disabilities to purchase services that support independence and community participation. Bayside Home Care can provide the direct support services that SSAH funding is intended to cover.
Visit Website →Passport Funding
Passport is a provincial program that helps adults with developmental disabilities participate in community life. Passport funding can be self-directed, meaning families choose their own service providers — including Bayside Home Care. We are experienced in working with self-directed funding arrangements.
Visit Website →HDGH (Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare)
HDG is a local non-profit organization that supports adults with intellectual disabilities in the Grey and Bruce region. Families connected with HDG services may be able to complement their existing support plan with Bayside Home Care staffing. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with HDG to ensure individuals receive consistent, quality care.
Visit Website →Private Insurance & Employee Benefit Plans
Some extended health benefit plans through employers include coverage for home support or respite services. We encourage families to review their benefits and speak with their insurer. We are happy to provide documentation and receipts to support any claims you may wish to submit.
